links and resources

welcome to the links and resources section...

welcome to the links and resources section of the site. Here are a bunch of useful resources and other sites I always like to browse or consult for help or inspiration. of course, here we have other fun stuff like cool neocities sites, games and graphics sites!

sites on neocities!

more to be added...

coding resources

- w3schools: the bigwig w3schools. Everyone's resource when it comes to html and css here on neocities and for rookie coders too! useful even when you need to go over some basics again.

- stackoverflow: picture this, you don't know how to code something, you look it up on google and end up on a question answered on stackoverflow. rinse and repeat.

- css gradients: and suddenly gradients aren't a headache anymore!

- html and css cheatsheet: pretty self explainatory. has a lot of generators too

old fansites, sites and site inspiration

this will get updated one day, but for now here's my favorites.

- web design museum on pinterest: has a bunch of screencaps of how websites used to look in the old internet. useful for quick inspiration or when you've browsed too many archive.org pages and now you're ip banned for a while. they also have a more in depth site here. this account archives mainly western sites.

- archive.org: another self explainatory website. archive.org is a source you should always head to whenever you want to find some old software, game, book and more, or when you want to use the wayback machine.

- 3000p!: old slam dunk fansite I really enjoy. Featured on their pages are lots of slam dunk characters emoticons and I like using them sometimes. The original source is for now unknown though.

- slam dunk 100 questions (jp, archive): a 100 questions game slam dunk fansite admins used to play. I'll translate this one day and do it myself for my sd fansite.

- sapari official website (archive): sapari's official website!

- yakuza kenzan website (archive): old archive screenshot of yakuza kenzan's official website! Requires a flash player extension like ruffle to work, also has autoplay so keep your volume at around 30%.

- sega jp website (archive): an old layout of sega's japanese website that I really like.

I'll add more when i feel like it... ^^

gaming and resources

- the cutting room floor: everyone knows this one! features lots of info on cut and hidden content in videogames

- cdromance: usually my number one stop when it comes to retro games downloads, but also features plenty of fantrans and rom hacks! always gets updated.

- reddit's rom repository: self explainatory.

- spriters resource: this also includes models resource, textures resource... basically an archive for lots of game graphics rips.

- video game music: hosts a bunch of high quality soundtracks and sound rips from videogames

- yume nikki online: play yume nikki and a lot of its other popular fangames like an mmo! You can also host and join parties to play with your friends.

- sapari: this neocities page shows you how to set up and play sapari in the current year! Sapari was a VRML vitual chat service provided by sony in 97 and then closed in 2003.

graphics

- dithermark: dither images!

- photomosh: lots of cool effects for your images.
