This is my first sakuragi figure! It was smaller than I expected, the scale wasn't specified, but I love him
nonetheless. I think it's a pretty sculpt, his face is expressive and quite detailed despite the head's real estate being small.
Although the pose isn't very dynamic it still comunicates
very well what kind of character he is, if his gaze didn't do
that already. despite this, I still think he's adorable. To me,
he always is!
Even if daisin's are unlicensed figures (rip) they're still
quite a popular choice for good figures at a cheap price.
I really loved playing around with this Sakuragi action, the
poseability and fabric clothes kinda made me treat him like
a barbie... I couldn't find them at the
time of writing but I had sewn him some clothes when he
arrived and mixing and matching was quite fun. He comes
with a few extra hand poses and facial expressions but I
think the smiling one he has right now is my favorite and
makes him look really cute. Whenever he isn't chilling on
top of my sd volumes I like putting him on top of my monitor
so I can look at him while I work!
Anyway, I was supposed
to buy the rukawa one so that he has a partner but I kinda
forgot about it...
The market for these being absolutely broken
is kind of insane. In fact, these are the most popular sd
movie merch there is and resellers know how much people
look for them. I got this little Sakuragi along with a Miyagi
one, the seller was giving them away a little cheaper because
both of them had snapped a leg.
You really don't notice
at first glance when they're on their stands so they're
basically mint condition for me. Unfortunately Miyagi isn't
in my possession anymore, he was a gift. I spent a lot
of time with this little guy, took him around lots of places and actually took him to see lots of movies? He's been good
companionship for half a year now and I hope he continues
to be! I have way more images and footage of him scattered around but this is what I managed to gather.
